Meet Lindsay and Dan, a couple who know exactly who they are and what they want. Their mantra? Make sure their wedding day is an unforgettable ball of fun for everyone involved. It’s not often you come across a pair who can juggle style, class, and a sense of humor quite so effortlessly and I’m obsessed with the outcome.
Our journey with this dynamic duo began in the heart of urban Downtown Philadelphia, where we shot their engagement session amid the highrises. Armed with plenty of champagne (because, why not?), we traipsed through the city streets, capturing their infectious laughter and shared excitement for the journey ahead.
You can see their fabulous engagement adventure here. Our finale on the rooftops overlooking the Philadelphia skyline with the bubbly has got to be one of my favorite moments.
Fast forward to the wedding day, and the atmosphere was buzzing at the Excelsior in Lancaster. While the bridal squad was busy with last-minute preparations in the fab bridal suite, the groomsmen were having a blast, indulging in games, food, and camaraderie.
For those unfamiliar, the Excelsior is a wedding venue that oozes sophistication and charm. Its unique character and style didn’t just provide the perfect backdrop for Lindsay and Dan’s wedding, but also added its own touch of personality to the event. It’s brick courtyards covered in ivy and exposed steel beams, but also open warm communal spaces with lots of natural light. All in all, it’s pretty spectacular.
And the bride and groom were no style slouches either. A beautiful sheath dress with a long-stemmed rose bouquet for the bride, and a classic tux for the groom- they were positively radiating subtle elegance.
Speaking of style, let’s talk about the decor. Think classic. The couple knew they wanted something timeless – something that was simple, yet chic. The palette was predominantly black and white, with pops of greenery to liven up the scene.
Throw in a generous helping of champagne (of course!) and you’ve got yourself a wedding that radiates luxury without stuffiness. That’s a must in my book.
It was important for Lindsay and Dan to create an incredible experience for their guests, many of whom traveled from afar to attend. They wanted to roll out the red carpet for their local family and friends, immersing them in an event that was both classy and heartwarming.
As the evening rolled in, the reception proved to be everything the couple had envisioned and more. Drinks flowed freely, the music was indeed ‘~hype~’ as the kids say, and the air was filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of dance-offs. It was the kind of party people will talk about for years to come – just as they had hoped. Please see the cowboy hats for reference.
In closing, a big thank you to Lindsay and Dan for inviting me to be a part of their special day. It was an honor and a blast to capture their Excelsior wedding adventure! Here’s to many more champagne-filled memories.
