I love to learn. Probably one of the things I miss most about college is sitting down with others who share your interests and passions and learning from each other and an expert in the field. My mom encouraged me to sign up to attend the CLIC Conference in Alexandria, VA this August which is an educational opportunity and workshop for portrait and wedding photographers. In a room filled with others who share my interests and passions, I vigorously took notes as I listened to several experienced photographers speak on topics to help us grow our businesses. I learned about the photography industry in regards to finance, marketing, networking, business strategies, styling, and posing. Having gone to school for Elementary Education, much of this information was new to me and greatly appreciated. After guidance on styling from Kaitlin Holland Creative and instruction on posing from Katelyn James, we had the opportunity to partake in a styled shoot. And it was SO FUN. Enjoy taking a gander at the images from this helpful and encouraging conference of furthering my education 🙂
