Stephanie + Kevin | Breezy Summer Manhattan Maternity Session

I’m fairly certain I’ve only ever popped in to New York to shoot engagement sessions, so when the opportunity arose to shoot a maternity session in the Big Apple, I was intrigued! It’s not every day that parents to be want to capture their future family photos in a city as hustling and bustling as NYC.

So, naturally, I was in.

Turns out that Stephanie and Kevin used to live in Manhattan, have many many good memories of their time in the city, and they frequented Central Park, so it was a natural choice for them.

As Stephanie started to tell me about their vision for photos, she told me that she used to go on daily runs there and would always end up meeting Kevin at a special bridge on the South end of the Park whenever she was done. They even had a favorite pizza stop they would frequent.

It was so exciting to map out interesting and iconic locations in such a well known place but also incorporate special spots like that.

Though the couple lived in Philadelphia at the time of the session, they were playing with moving back to Manhattan right around when the baby was born so I guess the pull was strong!
