Steph and Greg’s charming engagement session was an exciting adventure for me to a new indoor plant-filled space.
This dreamy location for their engagement photos was Ott’s Exotic Plants, which is a long-time staple of the Lancaster area, but I’ve never had the occasion to go! Run by the Ott family since 1964, this charming spot is a sprawling greenhouse with a conservatory spiraling up to an impressive 50 feet! Seriously, it made for the most exotic and stunning backdrop to their pictures.
Ott’s has such a wild-hearted beauty to it, with really lush foliage and a sprawling untended natural feel, without that actually being the case.
And man did we have a good time exploring it!
You know how they say, “A couple that plays together, stays together”? Well, I’m pretty sure this duo is set for a lifetime of shared giggles. They’ve been finding the humor in most situations together for over 5 years and boy, does it show!
You can practically feel the anticipation bubbling up when Steph talks about their upcoming wedding. It’s not just about them though. They’re thrilled to have all their loved ones around, making the day feel more like a joyous reunion after living abroad for work for the last few years.
Steph and Greg’s love for food, frolic, and their fur baby, Cap, is simply infectious. Their ideal day includes a hearty breakfast together, some quality playtime with Cap, and exploring new dining spots where they can discuss life over shared meals. And let’s not forget wrapping up the day by creating fresh memories at a concert, a comedy show, or a movie. Their adventurous spirit and love for trying out new things makes them an absolute delight.
Speaking of their wedding plans, they’re hoping for an exhilarating day packed with friends and family, who incidentally adore each other too. Imagine a blend of neutral decor with pops of fall-colored wildflowers, a sea of wedding party dressed in black, and a room illuminated by the soft glow of plenty of candles. They’re planning a private first look, a heartfelt ceremony followed by a fun-filled cocktail hour, and an unforgettable reception. Expect lots of mingling, and of course, tons and tons of dancing!
Parque at Ridley Creek is their beautiful wedding venue, which I am confident, will provide the perfect setting for their big day. Parque actually reminds me a bit of Ott’s, practically teeming with nature because of its location in a state park. That venue is an old friend, and I can’t wait to capture more of their moments there.
My time with Steph and Greg at their laid-back photo session was just fabulous. Their love story, their energy, their anticipation for their wedding; it was all so tangible and beautiful to witness. I can’t wait to document their wedding and share more of their journey with you. Stay tuned!
