Hiking and engagement photos? Yes, please.
I met up with Sophia and Jay at Gunpowder Falls Trail to capture their engagement session, and I was ready for a little adventure in the woods.
Those tall trees and that diffused afternoon lighting are top-notch for glowy engagement photos.
When Sophia and Jay inquired with me, they let me know that they considered themselves a laid-back couple, not too concerned with outwardly formal traditions surrounding weddings and planning.
So when they showed up easy and breezy in their summer best, ready to hike and make the most of it, I was ready to lean in and capture that casual romance.
Their effortless relationship really sparkled on camera, and they had no problem weaving through the tree-line together, making the most out of their afternoon in the woods. You could tell that that easy camaraderie of being in each other’s presence was second nature to them.
Their engagement photos turned out just as natural and sweet.
Sophia and Jay are planning a ceremony at Mt. Washington Mill Dye House next spring, and they shared that most of the focus to be on spending time together with friends and family. Though they currently live in Baltimore, they’re both originally from Ohio and New Jersey, so almost all of their guests will be joining them from out of town.
Having captured a few weddings where that is the case, I’ll be looking out for host of wedding guests that are looking to live their best vacation life on the dance floor.
Looking forward to your big day Sophia and Jay!
