Meet Jordan and Kevin, a couple whose love story is like a well-worn classic. Let me tell you, as a wedding photographer, diving into the heart of their engagement session felt like capturing the pure essence of genuine connection.

They had a vision for their engagement shoot – none of that posed, stiff stuff. They wanted a variety of candid photos that screamed “us”. Jordan and Kevin would explain their perfect day as taking a walk to a park with their puppy, cooking a nice meal, and watching a movie.

Since their goal for their engagement shoot was to keep it as natural as possible, I find it is best to put them in a setting that they are most comfortable with, something they know very well. So we naturally started the day off with taking a stroll through a park with their puppy.

If you couldn’t tell already, I love Fall! The crisp colors, the warm lighting, the smells, ughhh, this time of year just warms my soul. The season was like a dream canvas for their engagement session.

After walking their pup, we hit the streets of their hometown: Baltimore. Hand in hand, laughing, smiling, and just being themselves – because what better way to capture authenticity than in a place they know like the back of their hands? Each click aimed not to just freeze moments but at capturing emotions. Creating a visual diary of their relationship.

Being chosen by an individual, couple, or family to photograph their special moments means a lot to me. As Jordan and Kevin were searching for their photographer it was important to them that the person they hire make them feel comfortable. Taking photos all day long can be exhausting and they wanted to be able to enjoy their day while getting some really great pictures. As they put it, They “don’t want to feel like we are surrounded by paparazzi”. Comfortable and enjoyable!

As we eagerly await their wedding day at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House this November, where neutral, warm, and elegant vibes will take the spotlight, I am happy to keep this journey continuing with Jordan and Kevin. As they look forward to all their friends and family gathered in one space, dancing and singing along with the band, I await for their plans of a cozy ceremony and an atmosphere filled with lots of candles and white florals to transpire. Their commitment to genuine moments and timeless aesthetics promises a celebration that’s all about them.
