Jocelyn + Geoff | Romantic Meadow Engagement

When you sign up for a photo shoot with yours truly, what you’re really signing up for is an adventure. I bet you didn’t know that, right?

Case in point: Jocelyn and Geoff, a pair so madly in love that they chose to have their engagement photos taken in the wild untamed heart of Kelly’s Run Nature Preserve.

Kelly’s Run is a captivating blend of hill and meadow nestled in the heart of Lancaster, PA. Its unrestrained nature, rugged terrain, and breathtaking beauty combine to create a beautiful little oasis.

This was the first time I’d gotten to capture that location, so I was thrilled to have a reason to explore it!

For Jocelyn and Geoff, their engagement photos felt like the next big step toward to their wedding day, something to make it feel a bit more tangible.

Sometimes the hard part about planning a wedding is making all of these wild party decisions and then having to wait months (or years!) for it to come around. But, having engagement photos taken felt like it was kick-starting something grand.

So, in the meantime, we explored the landscape, set on taking in its stunning beauty and grabbing some meaningful photos along the way.

In their cute and casual best, we focused on the laughter and the sweet moments in their interactions, letting the terrain decide where we wanted to venture next. I love a working hike.

Joceyln and Geoff are equally excited to finally say “I do” next June at Zigbone EcoFarm Retreat, a beautiful venue in Pennsylvania.

I’ve had the opportunity to visit this quaint, rural property for Tess and Jason’s wedding, and it is such a unique space.

Nestled within the rolling hills of Sabillasville, Maryland, this retreat is all rustic charm. Designed with eco-consciousness in mind, Zigbone has got character seeping out of ev every sustainable corner.

The property exudes an old-world charm, all the while offering modern and eco-friendly amenities. The backdrop of this retreat, with its lush organic gardens and spectacular mountain views, will add a ‘wow’ factor to Jocelyn and Geoff’s wedding photos. Their wedding at Zigbone is shaping up to be as enchanting as their love story, and you can bet your bottom dollar that I can’t wait to capture it all!
