Do you want to include your sweet pup in your engagement photos? You love ’em like family so heck yes to including them! BUT they won’t be in every photo and while I do consider myself a good multitasker, I cannot take photos and hold your dog at the same time. I mean, I could, but the photos would be horrible and your dog will probably hate me.
SO! When my couples want to include their furry fam in their engagement sessions, I encourage them to find a friend or family member who would be willing to swing by about 10 minutes after the session
starts to take the pup either back home or on a walk while we finish your photos, sans-dog.
It’s a win-win-win-win:
(And if you are cat people we can always do an in-home engagement session and photograph those little paws in the comfort of your home.)
For the photos below, I’ll chat you through how we handled puppy logistics.
First we have Alex, Ethan, and their sweet Tucker at Valley Forge National Historical Park. Alex’s friend, Alli (also a former SBP gal), brought Tucker to the park for the last 10 minutes of their engagement session.
The second couple below is Jacquie, Jared, and their golden retriever, Yeti. To include photos with Yeti, we simply started their photo session at their home where he was most comfortable. He even tried to join them in their living room dance. Afterwards, Yeti stayed home while Jacquie, Jared, and I ventured to downtown Newtown for the rest of our time together.
Finally we have Jordan, Kevin, and their adorably sweet pup in Baltimore’s Riverside Park. They live nearby so after doing about 10 minutes of photos including their furry friend, we simply dropped her off back at their home and continued their photo session in the neighborhood.
So as you can see, there are lots of options for including your furry friends. We’ll make it work, babes.
