Sometimes the simplest locations are the ones that steal my heart for an engagement session. Emily and Kyle were weighing where they wanted to capture this sweet chapter before their wedding and knew that being on the water sounded right.
I happened to throw out that the Susquehanna River at Columbia was a beautiful place, where we could meander along the river’s edge. Turns out, the couple got engaged directly across said river, so an immediate plan was hatched.
We’d start along the riverbanks, grabbing the iconic bridge in the background, and then pop over to Highpoint Scenic Vista in York where the couple took their first step towards their new life together.
How simple and easy that turned out to be! Sometimes it pays to be flexible so that the right thing can find you.
Long-time loves, Emily and Kyle were so beautifully relaxed with each other that it was easy to grab images that truly showed their bond.
One of my favorite things about capturing couples before their wedding day is getting a sneak preview of what their wedding day will be like.
Have a couple that can’t keep a straight face when they’re together? I know the wedding is going to be a riot.
Capturing a couple that shows off their editorial side? I’m betting I can get a little creative with their wedding portraits and deliver something that might be a bit non-traditional.
I love looking into this particular crystal ball to get a glimpse into your sweet relationship.
I had such a good time with Emily and Kyle and talking about their Barn at Silverstone wedding this Fall, and I’m thinking it will be every bit as sweet as these darling images. Can’t wait, friends!
