Caroline + Ryan | Fun Urban Cityscape Engagement

These two lovebirds decided to tie the knot a while ago, but in celebration of their upcoming wedding, we had a blast exploring some of Philly’s vibrant cityscapes for their dreamy engagement session.

From picturesque sunsets overlooking towering skyscrapers, all the way down to candid snaps captured along bustling downtown streets, this session was packed with gorgeous sights. I think they beautifully capture these soon-to-be newlyweds sharing some blissful moments they’ll fondly look back on when reminiscing in days ahead.

Caroline and Ryan are set to tie the knot this Autumn at the Farm at Eagles Ridge, so we set about doing something a little more urban for their engagement session.

Philadelphia is a whole cityscape adventure, with its stunning architecture and rich history presenting a ton of opportunities for exploration for photos.

It may be known for its iconic landmarks, but you’d be surprised at the hidden gems that are scattered throughout the city. From colorful murals in alleyways to secret gardens tucked away in quiet neighborhoods, there are plenty of unique photo spots waiting to be discovered.

Sometimes you wander through the cobblestone streets of Old City, or sometimes you admire the skyline from a high-rise rooftop, but either way, Philly always delivers.

The trio of us wandered the city streets chasing the sunlight, and it was so natural to capture these two in their element with one another. Listening to their anecdotes, as they recalled memories of those early butterflies and enchanting first dates, and watching their faces light up with laughter as they recall a funny moment, it’s hard not to smile right along with them.

Caroline and Ryan identify as ‘the least stuffy people on the planet’, and I can testify that the two of them are as warm and inviting as can be. Talk about made for each other.

I love freezing this moment in time for my couples, the quiet just before a little bit of happy chaos.

Their upcoming wedding is set to be a celebration of love and all things sweet, filled with laughter, joy, and rustic charm that strikes a balance between elegant and fun. I can’t wait kids!
