I love the moment when I get an email that says “you photographed my sister/best friend/cousin’s wedding and now it’s my turn!”
All these years later, it’s still so amazing to me that someone can see you in action, mentally bookmark you for one unknown day in the future, and then land on your doorstep when the time is right. I love that part of my career.
Becca and Chris came to me by way of her sister Katelyn + Mike whose elopement and full wedding at the Barn at Silverstone I was lucky enough to capture in 2020 and 2021.
Going through a couple of wedding days with their circle of loved ones makes working with Becca and Chris so much like a homecoming.
We ventured out to the beach for their engagement session, as much to catch up as to take their pictures, and we had a good time in the sand and surf on the shores of New Jersey.
Becca and Chris call the beach their happy place, which makes sense since Becca’s family has a beach house that holds a special place in their hearts.
They spoke lovingly of spending days grabbing coffee at Red White & Brew, riding bikes, reading a book on the beach, going out to dinner at one of their favorite Italian restaurants, and getting ice cream at Marita’s.
The couple is looking forward to their big day next Fall when they’ll tie the knot at the Reeds at Shelter Haven, and are so excited to come together with everyone they love for a simple and romantic day.
