Nestled in the heart of Lancaster, Ali and Paul recently invited me into their new home for a special in-home newborn family session. As fellow wedding photographers, it was an absolute honor to capture this chapter of their lives. Being right around the holiday season and their stylish decor set the perfect backdrop for a cozy photoshoot.
Ali and Paul had just moved into their new home a couple of weeks before the arrival of their baby. The excitement of starting a new chapter in their lives was obvious, and their home omitted such a sense of joy and anticipation. The photoshoot aimed to capture not only the arrival of baby Remy but also the vibe of their newfound happiness in their new abode.
As wedding photographers themselves, Ali and Paul understand the significance of capturing life’s most precious moments. Being entrusted to document their family’s journey felt like such a privilege. Their insight into the art of photography added an extra layer of collaboration.
The vibe of the session was set to be cozy with a touch of elegance, perfectly complemented by the stylish decor in their new home. You would think they were interior designers! Soft blankets, warm hues, and subtle holiday accents really helped create a welcoming, warm setting for their session. The in-home setting allowed us to capture candid moments of the family in their element.
As the session went on and we got some of the most wholesome moments with baby Remy, their “fur-stborn child,” couldn’t resist being part of the frame. Towards the end of the session, their cat gracefully joined the family, adding a playful and endearing touch to the photographs. It was a reminder that family photography extends beyond human bonds, capturing the essence of every member, whether two-legged or four.
Ali, Paul, and baby Remy’s in-home newborn family session was a celebration of love, new beginnings, and the joy of family life. I’m grateful to have been a part of this intimate chapter, freezing these moments in time.
