I absolutely adore traveling back to Baltimore to capture those exquisite moments of pure love and boundless happiness for couples who are getting married there, because I used to live there and it feels like coming home. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the extraordinary wedding of Jamie and Justin at the fabulous Mt. Washington Mill Dye House, which is definitely one of my favorite Baltimore haunts.
I first met this amazing couple during their engagement session at Gramercy Park in NYC, which you can see here. Their love story resonated with every click of my camera and their chemistry was absolutely off the charts! New York is such an iconic place to capture photos, and we had so much fun getting to know one another in the Big Apple.
Fast forward to the wedding day, and I was excited to be in a different but still diverse city, ready to capture moments big and small.
The day began at the Canopy by Hilton Baltimore Harbor Point, where the atmosphere was filled with a delightful blend of excited jitters and calm anticipation. Jamie and crew flitted about the space, laughing, reminiscing, and talking about what was to come.
Her dress reveal with her bridesmaids was ridiculously cute, and I love that there are now multiple groups of people who get to experience that first rush of the final look. Dad was up right after that, and that is always the most emotional moment!
When it was finally the groom’s turn for the first look, we made our way to the harbor, which sparkled under the bright, mid-day sun. There was a quiet tenderness that spoke volumes about their deep bond, before the laughter and excitement took over.
After some stunning couples’ portraits, we made our way over to the venue space, Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. With its rustic charm perfectly juxtaposed with modern elegance, it always provides an idyllic backdrop for a wedding.
Jamie and Justin’s décor was a dreamy fusion of rustic and romantic elegance. A palette of pinks, oranges, and yellows infused the space with warmth while the crystal accents added a dash of sophistication. Summer flowers and lush greenery created a paradise that was nothing short of stunning.
The ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Dye House, surrounded by weathered brick walls and twinkling cafe lights. The couple exchanged vows under an arch of lush green foliage and vibrant flowers that perfectly matched their stunning decor.
One “I do” later, and we were headed to the reception, an explosion of joy, laughter, and dance. The couple’s wish was for everyone to feel the love and dance the night away – and dance, they did! The energy was infectious, and the smiles were endless. It was a celebration that perfectly mirrored Jamie and Justin’s vibrant and joyful spirit.
Jamie and Justin, it was an honor to capture your love story and I can’t wait to see where this new chapter takes you! Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and countless dance-offs.
