This has got to be one of my favorite family photo sessions that I’ve ever done. I mean, do you see these kids, those wildflowers, these parents! I love them so.
I might be biased because the grown Wingenroths are one of my way-back when couples. Catie and Jordan came to me for their engagement and then their wedding way right around the time I went full time on this wedding adventure.
Fast forward to this summer and Catie reached out for family photos with not one but two kids! Time flies when you’re having fun and all that.
With their littlest boy quickly becoming not so little anymore, the Wingenroth family wanted to make sure to document this chaotic and beautiful moment in time so they could remember it in all its glory.
Anyone that’s had very little ones knows the adage ‘the days are long, but the years are short’ is a very true story, and Catie and Jordan were keen to freeze this moment in time so they could see their boys in just this season of life.
As someone who finally just got my own family portraits done with the hubs and my two little girls, I was definitely on the same page.
We had such a sweet time hanging out with the kids before bedtime, watching their oldest try to conquer the wildflower forest while the youngest hung like a champ. Wildflower fields don’t always show up and come out swinging, but this one in Ronks definitely met the bill.
What a memorable evening with an even more memorable family. I am so pleased I got to hang out with you Wingenroths, and I can’t wait for the next one!
