Laura + Justin | Falling for Their Love

This engagement shoot, bathed in the light of golden hour on a September day near Rockwood Park in Northern Delaware, was a day filled with laughter, shared glances, and beautiful scenery.

I had the pleasure of witnessing and capturing these beautiful moments that perfectly reflected the love they share. This session was placed in the most natural setting that allowed this couple to feel completely themselves. As you can probably tell in most of the photos, the pure happiness beaming off of their faces is just as bright as the golden sun at sunset. Dare I say brighter?!

Although Rockwood Park wasn’t the couples first choice for their engagement location, it ended up being the most picturesque backdrop. With its lush greenery, majestic trees, and a stone mansion paired with the warm golden hour lighting, these moments were captured beautifully! Laura and Justin’s laughter echoed through the park, their smiles lighting up the frames, and occasionally, they broke into spontaneous dances, lost in the happiness of the moment. Trust me when I say that I was not mad about it!

For this couple a typical day involves quality time with their large families. However, their most cherished moments are the ones spent together – whether at local bars, enjoying a cozy night in with movies and dinner, or simply sharing thoughts about their day. It was obvious that they enjoy and fully relax in each other’s company more than anything else.

For Laura and Justin, finding the perfect wedding photographer was not just about capturing poses but about freezing the candid, in-the-moment snippets that define their relationship. As they eagerly anticipate their wedding day, they look forward to a celebration filled with love from family and friends. As Laura’s meticulous planning unfolds leading up to the big day, their plan is to have an elegant vibe at The Barn at Silverstone. Something I loved hearing about was the excitement she has to take Justin’s last name, she almost can hardly wait to officially become his wife.
