When I started my pilgrimage to Philadelphia for this wedding, I was bursting at the seams with excitement. Kellie and Eddie are some of my favorite people, and I was ready to document what I knew was going to be one giant party for their family and friends.
And that was the intention Kellie started out with all those long months ago when we were talking about her grand designs. Because that’s just what she is, a designer. Class it up, dress it down, she can do both at the same time.
Aside from their big day being full of fun, laughter, and love, I knew her aesthetic was going to be a little edgy, a lot of elegance, and just understated enough to fit in at the lovely Curtis Atrium in Downtown Philadelphia.
Located inside the historical Curtis Publishing Company building, the Atrium, with its marble floors, and beautiful waterfall fountain, is breathtaking space that’s also home to the historic glass mosaic known as The Dream Garden. Imagine that dripping in emerald green, gold, black, rust tones, and whites/silvers, well, the girl’s got style and I knew the space would suit them.
If you haven’t read about how Philadelphia played an epic role in their love story, check out their engagement blog post here: Hint. Santas are involved.
And that’s iconic Kellie and Eddie. Self-described “very fun and goofy people, who love to laugh and crack jokes”, these two are the absolute life of the party. Yet they’re also a couple of romantics. Kelly told me that they both “love love” and were so excited to see each other from across the wedding aisle.
What a pair.
When I say we laughed a lot, I mean it. The day was filled with hilarity, secret collages (see: the groom’s jacket liner), glow sticks, donuts, and lots and lots of dancing.
Kellie and Eddie, this’ll be one I remember for a long time. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
