Hayley + Nick | The Farm at Eagles Ridge
Sometimes I can’t get over how I can visit a venue for a wedding on multiple occasions, and yet it can still surprise me by taking on a new character and charm with each new couple and their dream vision. Pour one out to the fabulous vendors who make the Farm at Eagles Ridge so tailored to each couple!
On this occasion, I was happy to be there showcasing the faith-filled love of Hayley and Nick, a cute as can be couple who were looking forward to their wedding day being “soft, romantic, and magical.” The whimsy! But also, challenge accepted! Part of what I aim to do for each of my couples is capture that aesthetic that they’re working so hard to see realized on their wedding day.
Lucky for us, the light gave us exactly what we wanted that afternoon because some of these images felt like pure magic. The light in the meadows, just too good!
But I digress! Back to Hayley and Nick. These two were such sweethearts, so gentle and unassuming in their own magnificent ways. You’ve heard the term gentle souls? Right on the money here. Working through their special moments, I just kept flashing on the word wholesome. Watching Hayley and Nick so sweetly interacting with their parents, and then their wedding party members, and then finally with each other, it was just this whole other level of sweet.
At their wedding ceremony near the quietly flowing river, as they partook of their loved and honored observances, it really just added to this lovely authenticity. And as the bride and groom walked into their new life together, you could tell they felt made whole. Maybe that’s why I was flashing on wholesome so much.
I’ll leave you with the fact that as the party wound down, the bride and groom had an old-fashioned ice cream truck serving single and double scoops out of the side. You know what I’m going to say. Wholesome.
