If you’re looking for some engagement inspo photo that will capture your fun and carefree nature as a couple, look no further than this engagement session for Emily and Ryan at Federal Hill in Baltimore, Maryland. They were my easy-breezy champions.
This dynamic duo wanted all their photos, engagement and wedding, to really showcase their true personalities and capture the real them, not the staged version. And it was a non-negotiable that their furry baby, Ridley, would be along for the ride.
Right away, Ryan and Emily were all laughs and smiles and had no trouble showing off their self-described ‘goofy and fun-filled relationship’. It was clear that they love spending time together and know how to have a good time. Ridley, was also a star of the show, and he knew just what to do in front of the lens.
The late afternoon light was perfect, casting a warm glow on the city streets that makes everything look so inviting. It was hardly a job to capture the couple’s natural chemistry and playful spirit. Ridley was in his element, wagging his tail and soaking up all the attention. It was clear that he adores his owners, and they are crazy about him too.
As the sun began to set, we ventured over to the brick walkways of the neighborhoods around Federal Hill, where the couple strolled hand-in-hand, soaking it in. I love the character of the surrounding areas here. Baltimore sure has some looks to serve up.
We ended with some gorgeous silhouetted shots against the cityscape while the sky gave us some beautiful blends of oranges, pinks. It was a fitting end to a great day.
These two are getting married at the The Winslow, also in Baltimore, at the end of summer, and I can’t wait to see how their easy nature translates to their wedding day. Emily and Ryan said they want their wedding to look fun and clean and hope that everyone spends as much time as possible on the dance floor. I’m looking forward to it, and I hope they bring Ridley!
