I had the pleasure of capturing a jaw-dropping wedding at the Winslow Room in Baltimore recently, and it was an absolute blast. The vibes were off the charts!
But, this love story started long before the couple exchanged their vows at the altar. Turns out their adorable union had foundations all the way back in second grade when Emily and Ryan first met. They didn’t start dating until 2018, but hey good things are worth waiting for and all that jazz.
I first had the opportunity to capture their bond during an engagement session at Federal Hill in Baltimore, which you can see in this post. They love Baltimore a lot, and as a place that holds special significance for them, they also wanted their engagement photos to show off another side of their beloved and multi-faceted city.
On the big day, the couple got ready at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, a location that provided an idyllic backdrop for a first look on a bridge overlooking the water. The anticipation, the joy, the unspoken promises in their eyes – it was a moment frozen in time, and it was quickly followed by laughter. That’s kind of their signature, knowing how to make anything funny.
The Winslow Room at the Parker Metal Building was the chosen venue for their wedding, and I think it’s a place as unique and charming as their love story. Nestled within the historic walls of the iconic Parker Metal Building, with its soaring ceilings, exposed brick walls, and industrial chic ambiance, the Winslow Room offers an amazing modern setting for a wedding.
From the grand entrance to the elegant chandeliers, every detail has been meticulously curated to create an unforgettable experience. The Winslow Room truly is a perfect canvas, waiting to be transformed into a celebration.
The decor leaned toward a semi-formal flair, but lots of fresh greenery for florals and sparkling cafe lights overhead created a magical atmosphere. And the unique touch of adding barn tables for the head table to add some fun intimate charm.
The ceremony was just right, a touch of sweet, some laughs, and the wedding recessional ended with the entire bridal party toasting with signature cocktails in cups that had their dog, Ridley’s, face on it. Remind me to get cups with cats’ faces on them for my next party!
As we moved into the reception, the vibe was all about celebration. Emily and Ryan had one simple wish – they wanted their guests to have a fantastic night of drinking, eating, and dancing! The dance floor was always occupied, laughter echoed through the room, and the atmosphere was buzzing.
Emily and Ryan, thank you for graciously inviting me to capture this beautiful journey. You’ve created memories that will last longer than an Instagram story and bring joy to not only you but to everyone lucky enough to be part of your epic day. Here’s to a lifetime of endless laughter and boundless joy.
