Emily + Ruben | Lancaster Studio Maternity Session

I had the privilege of capturing Emily and Ruben’s wedding in 2022 (go see it here!), and now, as they enter the next beautiful chapter of becoming parents, I have the chance to document another exciting milestone! Lucky me! The warm sunlight filtered through the windows of The White Room in downtown Lancaster. As they prepare to welcome their little one in October, their maternity session not only celebrates their growing family but also the bond they share.

Lancaster is a city that is so rich in history and charming venues and offers an array of perfect backdrops for any photography session. I mean, I live here, so I love it. The White Room, renowned for its natural light and elegant simplicity, provided an ideal setting for this couples maternity session. Emily and Ruben wanted a space that wasn’t too over the top, and I find that this venue, with its neutral palette and soft lighting, complemented that vibe perfectly.

Before their session, Ruben and Emily visited Central Market, a staple of Lancaster’s vibrant community, where they handpicked local flowers to incorporate into their session. They added colorful touch to the images which is always fun.

I truly enjoyed capturing their wedding day, and watching their love story unfold into growing their family reminds me how lucky I am to do what I do—capturing life’s beautiful moments for such wonderful people. I wish this couple the very best!
