Chelsea + Josh | Vintage Enchanted Forest Wedding
When I wrote about Chelsea and Josh’s engagement, which you can see here, I used the word whimsical because that’s how their session felt. The light was perfect, the autumn trees were gorgeous, Chelsea and Josh were dressed in their best regardless of the hike, and they were SO in love and happy.
Well, all that whimsy was artfully replaced with vintage romance with a touch of enchanted forest.
Ok, maybe that still sounds whimsical, but this brand of vintage romance was moody, baroque elegance. Dare I say it was reverse boho? Is that a thing? I’m making it a thing.
It was the richest palettes in the most luxe variety. Neutrals be banished. Darker and moodier, but not quite gothic or too dark; those were the bride’s words and I think their final vision came to life perfectly.
I’m all for making your day exactly how you want it, and this was perfect for the lady who climbed a mountain in a sequined gown. Heck yeah, Chelsea.
I feel like the trees even showed up for these two. We had the most vibrant red leaves on these trees like they knew the wedding party’s florals tied in burgundy and earthy reds. I like to think that’s mother nature taking care of two of the sweetest people.
Chelsea and Josh’s riverside ceremony was so heartfelt and lovely, and as the sun started to set on their venue at the Farm at Eagles Ridge, the majesty of their reception became apparent.
The reception space was transformed by hundreds of black taper candles in glass hurricanes that reflected the light in so many faceted ways. It was gorgeous.
From beginning to end this enchanted wedding day was a joy to be a part of. Chelsea and Josh, it was a privilege to be at your special day, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
