The absolute joy of witnessing love grow! That’s what I get when I do family portraits.
As a wedding photographer, it’s a tremendous honor to capture those first whispers of love, the “I do’s,” and everything in between. But, there’s also a special kind of magic in the opportunity to see love’s journey beyond the wedding vows.
That’s why I loved reconnecting with this dear couple for their sweet family photos. I didn’t get to capture their wedding in 2019, that honor went to my associate, but I jumped at the opportunity to see their love manifested in this little family sesh.
This day was perfection. It was as if Mother Nature knew we had a bubbly little girl to entertain in the fields and flowers.
Dani knew that they wanted to capture their family in a natural setting where they could interact in an unstructured and easy way, just seeing where the wind would take us.
So, packed with all the infant essentials, we set off into the great outdoors.
The Bair family and I found ourselves in a local meadow where wildflowers danced in the breeze, and set all of our hearts aflame. The blossoms were so vibrant, they almost matched the overflowing love and joy of this family. Almost.
Altogether, it was a sight that could make even the most serious heart skip a beat.
My babies feel so far removed from this infant stage, now, but it’s so easy to remember these moments with tiny grasping hands and big curious eyes.
It’s a wonder that I didn’t take 800 solo pictures of that little girl. Too precious.
The way these two looked at each other, and at the baby, laughing as she played along, that’s the good stuff.
But what truly warmed my heart was the sight of mom and dad, amidst the chaos of parenthood, stealing a moment for themselves. Love a reminder that although love evolves and changes, it never fades.
Being a part of this intimate moment in their ongoing love story was so much fun. Bring that baby back to me anytime!
