Anna Maria + Erik | Sunset Valley Forge Engagement

Anna Maria and Erik are a couple who truly personifies the phrase ‘love is in the details.’ From the moment I met them, it was evident that they wanted their engagement session and upcoming nuptials to truly reflect their unique personalities and shared interests and their love for all things Autumn!

There was no better setting for this celebration of love than the picturesque landscape of Valley Forge National Park – a place that beautifully mirrors their shared love for the outdoors and picturesque landscapes, which is particularly beautiful in the chillier months.

Since the pair lives near urban Princeton, when they’re not strolling around downtown savoring fine wines, or visiting Asbury Park, Anna Maria and Erik love any excuse to get a little bit of outdoor time in nature.

Their engagement session took place amid the lush greenery of Valley Forge, which was just starting to show its Autumnal wonder. It was the perfect setting to echo their fall-centric wedding experience.

The decision to host their fall wedding at the Farm at Eagles Ridge was a tribute to their favorite season. They got engaged in September and that set in motion their dream of a fall wedding, with the allure of the season’s warm colors, the crispness of the air, and a charm that isn’t too chilly.

As someone who loves taking photos of the colors of changing fall leaves, I was all for those wedding plans, especially at the same venue I got married at!

So here we were, Fall engagement, Fall photo session, and next year, Fall wedding! The trifecta!

The Farm at Eagles Ridge really lends itself perfectly to this vision too. Its organic feel, rustic vibes, and breathtaking property won them over instantly (I know that feeling), and they set about planning their autumn celebration.

On-theme with their fall vibe, they actually spotted photographs from a wedding I shot there in October 2022 on the venue’s website, and they knew it was meant to be!

For this special couple, family and friends will take center stage on their special day. Anna Maria is particularly excited about the morning-of activities with her bridesmaids, filled with pampering, much-anticipated hair and makeup transformations, and, inevitably, champagne toasts with mimosa-filled glasses. And she and Erik can’t wait to have everyone they love right in one place, amid the gorgeous Fall landscape.

I can’t wait to see their wedding palette which will feature rich earth tones and navy suits, a nod to their organic style and a testament to the beautiful fall backdrop.
