Have I told you that I love doing sessions inside homes?!
Stay with me here, but capturing photos inside a couple’s home, on their turf, instantly makes them feel more relaxed. The more relaxed you are, the better the photos! Gone (mostly!) are the nerves, and my clients generally feel comfortable enough to play around and have fun with the shots.
So keep that in mind, friends!
Though they’d originally planned to shoot their engagement session elsewhere, Jacquie and Jared had the idea to stay closer to home when they started to discuss where their relationship had been centered. The coupe re-met in Newtown and have shared their relationship in that lovely city, so home-bound we were!
And, added bonus: PUPPY. I will always take a dog, even though I am a tried and true lover of cats. I’m an equal opportunity petter, if you will. Anyway. home is where the puppers are, so the home benefits abound!
But back to Jacquie and Jared. We had so much fun shooting around their home and neighborhood, hitting the haunts that have been a part of their love story. The whole day felt so light and airy, and it was great to capture them in their natural element.
I can’t wait for their wedding in December, where we are going to have ALL the holiday feels!
