I really like Excelsior… and not just because it’s less than a mile from my house. Excelsior was the perfect venue for Tess and Ethan’s boho-meets-1920’s-meets-industrial wedding day. Ryan photographed Ethan and his fellas getting ready at their downtown apartment and then the group walked the 2.5 blocks to Excelsior, passing Square One Coffee where Ethan is a barista (ahem, best coffee in Lancaster). Tess and the ladies got ready at Anthology Lancaster (directly neighboring Excelsior!) and then we all cavorted 10 yards west for the rest of the day’s wedding festivities. Oh, and we gotta talk about Tess’s veil. Her mom, of Sew Glorious, restored Tess’s great grandmother’s veil from the 1920’s. Sentimental and beautiful?! Oh, yeah.
I appreciated Tess’s comical take on the First Look… or shall I say First Booty Squeeze (scroll down, baby!). Charlotte of Le Moment Capturer worked her killer videography skills and we collaborated to get creative shots of this stylish bride/groom combo. Yes, everything was styled to perfection, but I appreciated how Tess and Ethan kept the focus on starting their marriage.
Other favorite elements of their day include their donation to The Reformation Project in lieu of favors, the delish cake and desserts by Flouretta Sweet (who also doubled as the Matron of Honor!), and the mid-day change to flower crown by Petals With Style. Take a gander. This wedding was a blast.
