Susie + Owen | Radiant Audrey’s Farmhouse Wedding in Hudson Valley
On a crisp, sunny day at Audrey’s Farmhouse in the Hudson Valley of New York, I got to capture this beautiful and classic wedding that now lives rent-free in my head. Susie and Owen’s wedding exuded romance, sophistication, and pure Americana. It was magical.

You know that couple who’s effortlessly chic AND nice? That’s Susie and Owen. I was thrilled to pack up my gear and head to New York for this wedding adventure.
A wedding at Audrey’s Farmhouse in Hudson Valley, NY is like stepping into a dream world – one where the beauty of nature is fully embraced and combined with modern elements to create a unique setting that’s both picturesque and contemporary.
The bride and groom’s attention to detail and their desire for a modern garden-casual vibe made this venue a stunner and perfectly suited for this pair who spend a lot of their time in nature, hiking with their black lab (also pictured in their engagement session!).
From the minute we started on their wedding day, the vibe I got was happy!, with the exclamation mark. Everything about this day was happy. The florals with their bright pops of yellows, pinks, oranges, and soft blues just made you smile. The bridesmaids and their perfectly curated floral gowns screamed bright and happy, and the couple couldn’t have been more relaxed and, you guessed it, happy. Like I said, a whole vibe.
The ceremony and reception took place in the gardens on the property, and it was such a special place to tie the knot. It was a cross between rustic and modern with gravel paths and stonework patios up against a the living greenery wall.
As Susie and Owen sealed the deal, it was such a joyful occasion, complete with lots and lots of cheering. That was my favorite part. So many victory shots.
After the ceremony, the couple had plenty of time to enjoy their cocktail hour out on the front lawn while I walked into the ethereal beauty of the farmhouse reception.
The reception space was where the couple’s vision of a modern garden casual vibe shone the brightest. The room was adorned with living plants in every conceivable space along the walls, all flanking two long rows of farmhouse-style tables. Glass hurricanes and candlesticks marched down the tables catching the light filtering through the windows. Romantic string lighting hung from the ceiling along with hanging potted plants and white steel beams. The effect was so classy, and romantic, and really transported you away from a traditional wedding feel.
When everyone started filtering in, you could see the awe on their faces. Garden party weddings need to be a thing.
When the bride and groom finally made their entrance, the party was on! Everyone was relaxed, the candlelight was warm and inviting, and rhe setting sun set all the glassware ablaze with reflective light. It was a true celebration.
And, as every bride and groom hope for, the dance floor was never empty! This timeless wedding reception was absolutely packed laughter, well-wishes, and an endless amount of atmosphere.
This beautiful wedding had everything going for it – picturesque greenery, modern touches, and a genuinely personal and authentic vibe. It was one to remember, and as a photographer, it’s a privilege to be part of such memorable moments. I can’t wait to see what comes next for these two!
