Calardo Family | Joy-filled Newborn and Family Session

As a photographer, there is something truly special about capturing those tender moments of a new life. Being able to observe and document the love between family members right after welcoming that sweet newborn into the world is an absolute privilege and honor. I’ve been doing more of these new little family sessions recently, and I just have to say that I’m loving it.

This amazing opportunity came from another former wedding couple, so I headed out to see Sarah and Nick for this beautiful in-home family session to meet their brand-new little bundle of joy!

It always fills my heart with so much happiness to see how smitten everyone is with their newest addition. Snuggles, sweet kisses, lots of laughter, a little bit of “this is wild” – I remember those days so well because it really seems like yesterday.

Every family has a unique dynamic that makes them one-of-a-kind, and Sarah, Nick and Riley were just the cutest. From the moment I walked in, the love I’d witnessed on their wedding day had woven itself even deeper into the fabric of this new family unit. The way they interacted with one another, laughed, and shared stories was truly fantastic.

As I stepped inside their cozy home, I couldn’t help but feel a warm and welcoming embrace. From the soft lighting to the comfortable couch, everything exuded comfort and love.

But it was the baby’s nursery that truly stole my heart. Adventure-themed decor adorned the walls, and that tiny mobile above the crib, it was too cute and so full of possibility.

We made ourselves comfortable and set to work capturing their cozy routine, not trying too hard to make anything happen. As a mom, you know that nothing compares to the feeling of holding your brand-new baby in your arms, so we intended to just document every sweet little angle without too much hurry.

Being able to capture these moments of pure joy between loved ones is such an honor. Thank you, sweet family, for letting me be a part of your story.
