I love getting to explore a new venue, and Tess and Jason’s wedding at Zigbone Farm Retreat was just such an adventure! The rustic charm of the venue, combined with its casual and laid-back atmosphere, was the ideal setting for this bride and groom’s special day.
Zigbone Farm Retreat and its beautiful surroundings were the first ingredient in a day perfectly tailored to the bride and groom. Circled by lush greenery and gently rolling mountains, the retreat is populated by beautifully restored historic farmhouses and rustic structures. You can hear the gentle rustling of leaves in the wind and the sweet chirping of birds overhead. As you walk along the winding paths, you’ll stumble upon charming little ponds and rocky outcroppings. It’s truly a place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of life and just take in the beauty of nature.
And the wedding itself was so perfectly suited to these two, bringing together friends and family in an intimate way that usually only tiny weddings can achieve. But yet, that feeling of bondedness ran throughout the 100-person event.
With the ‘best dog’ in tow, both bride and groom were filled with excitement, nerves, and maybe a few happy tears. They were trying to relax and soak up the moment with their loved ones before the chaos of the big day. From the laughter and drinks shared by the wedding party, Tess and Jason looked at ease leading up to the big moment.
And the ceremony was just the sweetest. Standing together with their dog, Tofu, every moment held so much heartfelt emotion. You could just feel the love in the air as the couple exchanged their vows.
With the emotion of the ceremony behind them, the laid-back celebration with Tess and Jason’s closest friends and family kicked off with everyone sipping on cocktails and laughing over memories throughout the night.
The bride and groom had board and party games stocked up in the hall, and they let the night unfold naturally, spending time with everyone and sharing their favorite past times. Tess and Jason’s hope for a stress-free, fun-filled celebration spent with the people who meant the most to them was a total success. It was adorable to see all of the care and attention that had gone into every little detail, and it truly made their day all the more special.
It was an incredible honor to capture Tess and Jason’s wedding and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for them!
