Liz + Eric | Moody and Whimsical Parque Wedding
If there is an adjective that gets used to describe my photos and style of photography, more often than not it’s going to include the word ‘moody’. And I am totally on board with that.
What’s a wedding day without some moody vibes? All the joy, all the excitement, a touch of nerves, and lots of romance. I’d say those are some big moods, and I get to capture them all!
In any case, it’s no surprise that when Liz and Eric reached out to me for their wedding, they were going for the moody, woodsy and whimsical vibes. With Parque Ridley Creek as their venue, I knew they’d have no trouble achieving that.
Liz and Eric were such a distinct and lovely couple just as themselves, and in front of the lens, so I could instantly imagine what they were going for.
They spend their time entertaining close friends, besting one another in video games alongside their rescue pups Grub and Julep, and hunting down the perfect cocktail, and underneath it all there’s something laidback yet elegant about them, which was just what they hoped their wedding would be.
Surrounded by bridesmaids in all different textures and shades of olive and sage, and groomsmen in black tuxes Liz and Eric sealed the deal under a beautiful stone arch.
Parque, along with the couple’s amazing team of vendors really nailed that woodsy secret garden, tone. From the rich and earthy florals that dripped from the tables and aisles in gold and brass bowls, to taper and glass candles, and the glossy woods of the intimate reception space, Liz and Eric’s wedding was dreamy.
As the sun set on what Liz dubbed their “Moody, Textural, Romantic, Upscale Woodland Fairy Garden” wedding. We all felt embraced by the couple’s garden estate oasis in the middle of the woods, where the candlelight illuminated a dance party and the celebration was heartlfelt.
